Thác Trăn nằm “ẩn mình” trong cánh rừng xã Ia Rsai (huyện Krông Pa, Gia Lai), được thiên nhiên vẽ nên những kiến tạo địa chất đẹp tuyệt vời. Thác mang vẻ rất hoang sơ của núi rừng Tây Nguyên.

Vẻ đẹp hoang sơ của thác Trăn

Thác Trăn cách UBND xã Ia Rsai (huyện Krông Pa) khoảng 25km đường rừng. Giữa những ngày tháng 2 “đỏ lửa” trên vùng đất Krông Pa, chúng tôi cùng người dân bản địa “len lỏi” qua cánh rừng khộp để tìm về thác Trăn.

Vừa đi, anh Nguyễn Văn Hà (người dẫn đường) kể lại: “Tôi còn nhớ, khoảng năm 1985 tôi đi cùng người dân trong làng vào rừng. Lúc đó, phải đi gần 1 tuần chúng tôi mới đến được với thác Trăn. Khi vào đến thác, anh em thấy dòng nước trong vắt và mặt đá lớn nên đã nằm nghỉ trưa. Giữa lúc này, đoàn chúng tôi phát hiện một con trăn lớn nặng gần 30kg đang ôm trọn khoảng 15 quả trứng…Mọi người ai cũng đều kinh hãi, chỉ dám đứng từ xa nhìn. Mấy ngày sau, chúng tôi vào lại thì con trăn đã bò đi đâu…Cũng từ đây, những người đi rừng gọi đây là thác Trăn”.

Chiếc xe máy vẫn cứ bon bon và câu chuyện về thác Trăn đã cuốn hút khiến chúng tôi quên đi mệt mỏi và gian nan trên hành trình vào thác. Vượt gần 1h đồng hồ, chúng tôi cũng đến được với thác Trăn. Nhìn từ xa, thác Trăn hiện ra với những tảng đá khổng lồ, trên bề mặt là hàng trăm hố tròn, nhỏ.

Thác Trăn có địa hình bằng phẳng, rộng và dòng nước rất trong và mát

Rô Gối (người con của núi rừng Buôn Băr, xã Ia Rsai) chia sẻ: “Thác này có điểm đặc biệt là những tảng đá khổng lồ và diện tích mặt rộng. Hồi xưa, nước ngập sâu từ 4 – 5m, nhưng giờ còn từ 2 – 3m nước. Người ta hay gọi đây là thác Trăn, còn tiếng Jrai gọi là Ply Mung (Ply gọi là tảng đá, Mung có nghĩa là bắp chuối). Đây cũng là căn cứ kháng chiến, quanh sườn đồi đều là chuối rừng. Nhưng qua thời gian, nước suối đã rửa trôi luôn những cây chuối này. Ngoài ra, quanh thác có rất nhiều cây mai rừng. Mỗi mùa xuân về, quanh đây đều phủ bởi màu vàng rất đẹp”.

Dù đã đi rất nhiều thác, nhưng chúng tôi đã rất ngỡ ngàng trước thác Trăn. Điểm chúng tôi ấn tượng nhất là thác Trăn có hàng trăm hố tròn do quá trình nước chảy mà hình thành nên. Chiều chiều, những người dân bản địa thường dừng lại và “tắm tiên” trong những hố nhỏ này.

“Săn đêm” trong thác

Sau khi ngâm mình dưới dòng nước mát, chúng tôi ngồi cả tiếng đồng hồ trên các tảng đá lớn để ngắm hoàng hôn đang lặn dần dưới chân núi. Lúc này, anh Rô Gối đang thịt 2 con gà theo cách rất đặc biệt của người đồng bào Jrai.

Anh Gối bộc bạch: “Từ xa xưa, bà con Jrai đi rừng nên không có nước đun sôi. Lúc này, những con gà được ngâm dưới dòng suối cho ướt hết lông rồi để lên đống lửa đang cháy. Khoảng 2 – 3 phút, khi lông gà đã cháy phần ngoài thì đưa xuống nhổ lông và xiên vào thanh tre để nướng (đây được gọi là món gà sa lửa)”.

Như một thói quen đi rừng, anh Hà cũng dẫn chúng tôi trèo lên ngọn núi để đi tìm những ổ kiến vàng. Anh Hà giải thích: “Dân bản địa thường đi lên rừng, lên rẫy nên hay ăn đồ nướng. Hồi xưa chỉ có muối chấm thôi, nhưng qua thời gian người dân đã biết bắt kiến vàng bỏ vào chấm. Sau này, món muối kiến vàng trở thành đặc sản của vùng “chảo lửa” Krông Pa”.

“Loại kiến này thường sống trên những cây có lá màu xanh. Đặc biệt, kiếm thơm ngon và bổ dưỡng nhất vào tháng 1 – 3, trước khi những cơn mưa rừng trút xuống. Khi mưa xuống kiến thường có mùi hôi và khó ăn…Lúc bắt kiến phải thật nhanh và chịu đau giỏi thì mới có món chấm đồ nướng ngon”, anh Hà cho biết thêm.

Lúc này, anh Hà cầm một chiếc nồi đến dưới tổ kiến vàng. Sau đó, dùng những cây củi nhỏ đốt cho nồi nóng lên. Khi đã nóng, anh vội cầm dao chặt nhanh nhánh cây có tổ kiến vàng.

Rất nhanh, anh đã rủ tổ kiến vào nồi đang nóng. Lũ kiến bị rơi xuống nồi nóng nên không thể bò được. Đặc biệt, nếu gặp những tổ kiến vàng có trứng thì vị càng ngon và béo ngậy hơn.

Gà, thịt nướng khi được chấm với muối kiến vàng thì có một vị chua, béo ngậy,  khiến những người sành ăn cũng phải gật gù.

Bạn Nguyễn Thái Hưng (xã Ia Băng, huyện Chư Prông, Gia Lai, người đi trải nghiệm cùng) tâm sự: “Đây thật sự là lần trải nghiệm vô cùng quý giá. Nó đã giúp cho mình có những kỹ năng sinh tồn khi vào rừng. Được tắm dưới dòng suối mát và ngắm hoàng hôn. Đặt biệt là thưởng thức những món ăn do chính tay những người bản địa tự làm một cách rất dân dã”.

Đêm đến, anh Nguyễn Văn Hà đã dẫn chúng tôi đi săn kỳ tôm, cua đá trong thác Trăn.

Anh Hà bộc bạch: “Nếu ở trong rừng cả tuần thì mình phải có kỹ năng sinh tồn. Những sinh vật đêm thường hay trú ngụ trên gốc cây, hốc đá. Ví dụ như kỳ tôm thì thường sống trên những nhánh cây nhỏ và đổi màu theo không gian nên mình phải nhìn kỹ. Cua đá sống trong những hốc đá…Những món ăn này đều rất ngon và bổ dưỡng giúp mình tồn tại được khi bị lạc hay đi làm xa…”.

Ông Hiao Buk (Chủ tịch UBND xã Ia Rsai) cho biết: “Thác Trăn có một vẻ đẹp rất đặc biệt và nằm trên địa giới hành chính của xã nhưng lâm phần do BQL Rừng phòng hộ Ia Rsai quản lý. Huyện Krông Pa đã có văn bản yêu cầu xã xem xét tìm các điểm có tiềm năng du lịch. Hiện xã cũng đang nghiên cứu có hướng đề xuất thác Trăn, nhưng đang lo ngại vì đường vào thác rất khó khăn.
